Southwind: the Story Behind the Name
For many years, John's wife, Natasha Deane, has been a member of the Nashville Dulcimer Quartet, along with good friends Sandy Conatser, Lee Rowe and Linda Sack. The Quartet recorded this instrumental of Southwind (an ancient Gaelic air) during a session of Live In Studio C on Nashville Public Radio. David Schnauffer, the late founder and inspirational leader of the Quartet and a world-renowned dulcimist, also plays on this recording.
